Split & Hvar

Split & Hvar

We spent 12 days in Croatia, flying in to Split, before getting the ferry to Hvar for 4 nights, moving to Dubrovnik for another 3 nights and then on to Cavtat for the remaining few nights. Also consider a few nights in Korcula on the way from Hvar to Dubrovnik if time permits, but below is our itinerary for Split & Hvar to help you plan 🙂 Check out my Dubrovnik post if you plan to combine the trip.

Day 1

Land in Split (Ryanair flies direct)

Stay at Apinelo Towers, just by the old town

Day 2

Split free walking tour at 12 noon withGuru tours

Gelato on the Riva

2pm Catch the ferry to Hvar (40mins)

4pm Check in at Pharos Hotel

6 Swim at Presidents beach 

6.30 Head to Falko bar for sunset 

8pm Dinner at Pharos hotel 

Hvar Town (view from Top Lounge at the A Hotel)

Day 3

Explore Hvar Old Town

Walk to Franciscan Monastery 

Refresh with a drink at Ka’Lavanda

Lunch at Top Lounge Bar (A hotel)

Enjoy some pool time at Pharos

Hike to Spanish Fortress for sunset 

Dinner at Konoba Monego

Drinks at Carpe Diem bar

Day 4

Boat trip to the islands and beaches (Blue Lagoon, Stiniva Bay, Green Cave, Blue Cave, Milna Beach on Palmenki Islands) – €80 per person for full day starting at 10.30am

Sunset near Falko bar on the sun loungers

Dinner at Prima Piatti Pizzaria

Sun downers at FALKO are a must.

Day 5

Run/ walk to Pokonji Dol beach for a swim and sunbathing 

Coffee at Kava 37

Brunch at Lola’s Street Food (cash only)

Relax by the pool

Sunset at Hula Hula

Dinner at Fig (definitely book ahead for this place)

Drinks at Ka’Lavanda

Day 6

Breakfast at hotel 

10.45 Ferry to Dubrovnik (4hrs with TP Line €37pp), Bolt to Old town
