We spent 4 days in Marrakech with our 7 month old in October (a brilliant time to visit for comfortable weather and fewer tourists). Here’s our itinerary with addresses, Google Maps links, opening hours, and approximate prices (€). Note 1 Moroccan Dirham (MAD) ≈ €0.093.

Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, proceed through customs and collect your luggage. There’s priority for pregnant women, elderly and families with young kids. Depending on traffic, the transfer to your accommodation should take approximately 20-30 minutes. We arranged ours via our hotel.

We stayed Riad Janate & Spa which was very peaceful and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. It’s is a charming, oriental-style palace situated in the heart of Marrakech’s Medina. It’s conveniently located near the Museum of Photography and the historic Ben Youssef Madrasa. They also offer massages which was great for when the baby napped!

Agafay Desert

Split up your trip with a night or two relaxing in the Desert, only a short drive away from the city. A that I have pinned for a future visit is Be Agafay (at €420 a night, it’s pricey, but for a special occasion perhaps:) )

If you fancy a hot air balloon ride while in town, check out this €123pp GetYourGuide experience over the desert with Atlas Mountain views, with a rating of 4.8/ 5.0 from 2000+ people.

If you have a few more days in Marrakech, why not take a full day trip with GetYourGuide (€66-80 in an air-conditioned vehicle) to see the famous UNESCO Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou (of Game of Thrones fame) and Ouarzazate – it’s a full 12 hour tour with a lot of travel time but a highlight for sure (rating of 4.6/5.0). Alternatively, there’s some cheaper options with bigger groups.
